What would we do with more courage? This retreat creates space for us to reflect on that powerful question in our personal, relational and work lives. Courage is the life force that animates us in moments of decision and action as we move towards greater integrity and wholeness. In our moments of courage, we meet our true selves as we find the inner ground on which we stand firm while finding common ground with others. The voice of our courageous true selves often comes at the moment when we reach a turning point and choose to make the hard choices: to take a stand, to show up, to be seen and heard, to walk away so that we can move forward—these are moments when our lives speak out loud. The retreat will be a time to listen for that voice.
Courage & Renewal work simply offers space for those who welcome an opportunity for reflection and renewal in order to illuminate their own life journey, or enhance their leadership role in work, organisational or community settings. At this retreat we’ll use the Circle of Trust® approach, developed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal. The Circle of Trust creates a process of shared exploration that creates a safe space for nurturing our personal and professional integrity and the courage to act on it. The retreat is open to individuals from all walks of life: including those in health, education, public and social services, business, parents, voluntary and community work. Facilitators
Facilitators Michael Prince, Anne Courtney and Sharon Cooke have been prepared by the Centre for Courage & Renewal.
