We've been hearing of disturbing trends for FIFO rosters becoming less family friendly, as mining companies seek to cut costs and those left are desperate to keep their jobs. 

There are many families with a FIFO parent who make the lifestyle work really well - for themselves, their partners and their children. But for some families, the unique stresses from this lifestyle catch up with them - especially mums with young children. Medications and your child

It can be difficult to make sense of children’s medications. 

Once it was sugar on a dummy that fixed all ailments, and today I meet a lot of parents giving panadol or phenergan to ‘help' their child off to sleep. Here’s a well researched webpage that talks about common medications used with children, with advice on how they work and when to use - or not use. Its a really balanced report that could help you make a quick and safe response when you’re caring for an unwell child.
