The Royal Birth

Im not a big Royal follower but when a new baby arrives I think we all naturally pay a bit of attention.

Didn't Kate look so normal - happy but tired - displaying her post-baby bump which makes us all feel a whole lot more normal.
They both made sweet comments about the baby showing their obvious attachment and curiosity with the new member of their family. William spoke of wanting to get to know his son and has taken a couple of weeks off duty. Kate is also drawing close to her parents for that extra support - I think there are a few telltale signs that things are looking good for the little Prince.

Although they live in a bubble that is so different from the rest of us, there are a similarities that ring true for all of us.

Many fathers' work arrangements have particular challenges with being involved with their children, e.g. FIFO, self-employed and senior management positions. And many Perth babies are born to loving parents, but the support of their extended family is from a distance.

Its good to see that the Prince of Cambridge is off to a strong start; our dream is that every child gets the start they deserve. Born into a family that cherishes them, with the resources to support their development, in an environment that is safe and stimulating.

We provide support to couples struggling to adjust to parenting - to ensure they form the important bond with their newborn and to work through any parenting challenges.

Sharon & Dawson.
