I was suprised to discover that I had something in common with Hillary Clinton - but here it is! Too Small To Fail is an American initiative hot off the press - she makes a strong case that our future success as a people depends upon nurturing our children especially in those first few years of life. Its features Dr Shonkoff from Harvard- my alltime hero:) Using research on child brain development he makes the point that warm and responsive parenting is vital to raise a healthy, robust child. Finally, a campaign that places merit on the many unseen acts of kindness it takes to be a parent. Bring it on! Sharon.

Good to see lots of dads in the promo video. The importance of the early years for human development is still grossly unappreciated by modern society - also undervalued is the role of the father.

I should add - this initiative has a really positive approach - unlike my previous comment )-: This is refreshing and the way forward. Bring it on in Australia!
